Subic Smart Community Corporation

Subic Smart Community Corporation (SSCC) has a $30 million project to renovate the golf course, clubhouse and other facilities. Led by Japanese investor Masafumi Miyamoto, the founder of SQUARE CO., LTD (the predecessor of SQUARE ENIX CO., LTD.), the video game developer company known for the world-popular game “Final Fantasy” series, “high quality” and “innovation” are what Miyamoto and his son, Rei strive to achieve. The Miyamotos are now applying the same concepts to SSCC, and we aim to become the premier golf club & resort in Philippines.

In May 2016, SSCC signed a lease contract of 50 years with SBMA, and our first phase includes renovation of the entire golf course, improvements to the irrigation system, the installation of sprinkler systems, the repair of ponds, an upgrade of machinery and equipment, and the new construction of clubhouse, in addition to the excellent service by Golf Attendants.

Under the second phase, in 2020 The Miyamotos will invest furthermore and start undertaking the development of all open areas for SSCC that involves the construction of condotel with 150 rooms, as well as pool, gym, sports center, parks, karaoke rooms, library, restaurants, among others. It is scheduled to be completed in 2022.
